The jury, consisting of Alan Chircop (Malta), Roberta De Nicola (Italy), Albert Mamriev (Germany), Giuliano Mazzoccante (Italy), and Teresa Satalino (Italy), praised the variety of repertoire, interpretative depth, and technical ability displayed by this year’s entrants. Their deliberations produced the six pianists who will now step into the spotlight at Chieti’s historic Teatro Marrucino on 12th August:
- Konnov Evgeny (Germany)
- Niro Simone (Italy)
- Takezawa Yuto (Japan)
- Zhang Yibo (China)
- Zhao Kaiwen (China)
- Biloboka Maryna (Ukraine/Italy)
For Italian finalist Simone Niro, reaching this stage marks a special milestone, with the pianist noting that “I’m very happy to have finally reached the final round of this competition, and to have the chance to perform here in this wonderful theatre, Teatro Marrucino, is fantastic because it’s the first time for me playing in this theatre, and I can’t wait to go on stage and create some music!”
With €9,000 in prize money at stake and a jury known for rewarding both artistry and individuality, all eyes now turn to the Final Round, which promises to be a veritable showcase of exceptional piano talent in one of Italy’s most beautiful theatres!
