The Violin Channel Announced as Official Media Partner for Classic Cello 2026
Recognised as the most influential digital voice in the international string community, The Violin Channel reaches millions of musicians, educators, industry professionals, and classical music enthusiasts worldwide. Classic Cello’s Artistic Director Alexander Chaushian welcomed the partnership, declaring that “The Violin Channel has become an essential connector within the global string world. The 2026 edition will bring together 40 exceptional cellists, chosen through a rigorous international audition process, to compete across three demanding rounds for over €130,000 in prizes, including a €50,000 First Prize. The climactic Final Round will feature the finalists performing with the Philharmonia Orchestra, London, under the baton of Tomàs Grau, offering an extraordinary stage for emerging soloists.
The competition is supported by an elite jury panel featuring some of the most respected names in classical music, including Julian Lloyd Webber, Kathryn Enticott, Michael Haefliger, Ursula Haselböck, Florian Leonhard, Dorran Alibaud, Deborah Borda, Angela Dixon, James Williams, and Paul Hughes, with Chaushian taking on the role of Jury Chairman.
